i am puzzled by these... first, i thought they would represent a figure leaned against a door, i don't know why. perhaps because of the way the figure is both inside and outside, it is common to think of this in-betweenness about doors, and less so about windows. perhaps it is the death angel who is already there, at everyone's window, half already inside one's life...

ReplyDeletemy guess is that the figure has put his knee through the window, shattering it. but whatever the case it does get one to thinking...
