it is funny that you see these curtains as fluttering, as i see them still :-)
and i find this pure genius that he didn't paint the mirror, like this the window becomes an empty mirror, one can write an entire philosophy book about this painting.
it is a rather interesting composition that Munch came up with. but the upward arching of the right curtain gives me the impression that the curtain is fluttering--so i guess you'll just have to dedicate a chapter to this issue in that book.
